Silence Stories: Users Share Their Experiences of Arkansas House of Prayer
I found out about the House of Prayer from a friend at Bible class; I’ve been coming to the House of Prayer for seven years. My experience of praying in the House of Prayer was so overpowering and filled with silence; God was showing me at times my soul needed rest, and then I will fall into a sweet sleep. This means a great deal to me, just being still, because there are times we need to stop and slow down and smell the flowers.
I really enjoy telling a lot of the associates I work with about the House of Prayer—I even take flyers to work. There are times I was told, “You look so relaxed,” and my husband says I’m glowing. This place is a big blessing from my Heavenly Father.
Editor’s Note: This is the first in a new series of interviews with visitors to the House of Prayer. We hope the stories of our patrons will inspire you as you consider how best the House of Prayer can serve you in your journey. This interview has been condensed and edited.
